What is The Art Scavenger?
The Art Scavenger is my website where I share free printable vintage ephemera, collage sheets, and mixed media inspiration. I created it to make authentic vintage imagery easy to access and use for junk journaling, art journaling, scrapbooking, and other creative projects.
Are the images on The Art Scavenger authentic vintage artwork?
Yes! I source every image from authentic vintage materials, including antique books, postcards, trade cards, and illustrations. I curate and format them so you can use them freely in your creative work.
Using My Free Printables
How do I download free printable ephemera from The Art Scavenger?
Each post includes a high-resolution JPG and PDF. Just click the download link, save it to your computer, and print it at home or through a local print shop.
Do I need to create an account or sign up to download?
No! I don’t require any sign-up or account creation. All of my vintage ephemera printables are completely free and instantly downloadable.
What size are the printables?
Most of my collage sheets are formatted for 8.5x11 inch printing (US Letter), but they can easily be resized for A4 paper or scaled down for smaller tags and embellishments.
Can I sell items made using your printables?
Yes! You’re welcome to use my free vintage images in handmade items for personal or small commercial use. You just can’t resell or redistribute the digital files themselves or printouts of them. See my Terms of Use for details.

Printing & Technical Details
How do I print your collage sheets?
I recommend using:
- Matte paper for journal pages
- Cardstock for tags or sturdier pieces
- Sticker paper if you want peel-and-stick labels
Any inkjet or laser printer will work well.
Can I resize the images before printing?
Yes! My files are high-resolution, so you can resize them using your printer settings or programs like Canva or Adobe Acrobat.
