Exotic Plants Collage Sheets
Some time ago, I came across a book on the flora of the French West Indies from the mid-19th century, and it has been the gift that keeps giving. Using the beautiful vintage illustrations in that one book, I’ve created these Vintage Botanical Collage Sheets, these Flora of the French West Indies collage sheets, and now the free exotic plant journal cards and ATCs on this page. I still haven’t used all of the images either, so you can count on more again in the future because I absolutely love them.
Scroll all the way down, and you’ll find a sheet of larger 2.5” x 4.25” journal cards and a sheet of 2.5” x 3.5” artist trading cards (ATCs).
Also, make sure you visit my Vintage Botanical Printables Hub for lots of free floral, plant, and mushroom printables.

The French West Indies, also known as the French Caribbean, is a group of islands located in the Caribbean Sea. The major islands of the French West Indies include Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy. The region is known for its lush and diverse flora, which is influenced by its tropical climate, volcanic origins, and various microclimates.
Much of the French West Indies is covered by dense rainforests and tropical forests. These areas are characterized by a wide variety of tree species. Various flowering trees and shrubs add splashes of color to the landscapes of the French West Indies. The French West Indies also boast a variety of delicious fruits and edible plants, many of which are unique to the area.
The islands of the French West Indies are home to several plant species that are found nowhere else in the world. Due to their isolation, many plants have evolved to become endemic, making them important for conservation efforts. It is important to note that the flora of the French West Indies can vary significantly from one island to another due to differences in geology, elevation, and local climate conditions. These islands are rich in biodiversity and have been the subject of conservation efforts to preserve their unique plant life.
